The asbestos works were licensed and required a waiver to be granted from HSE. The works were to remove AIB from behind a shop front sign which would allow engineers to assess the damage to the structure of the property. The waiver was granted at 16:20am on the 7th Feb and with assistance from Sunbelt Rentals we were able to mobile an MEWP to be on site first thing on the 8th to allow the asbestos works to proceed.​

Operating from a securely enclosed working platform on the MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform), our experts efficiently carried out the necessary works. The MEWP, extending to 3.8 meters, provided ample space for the works to be conducted within a single enclosure, ensuring containment and safety.

Employing a free-standing airlock for decontamination and waste procedures, coupled with the continuous presence of an analyst from DNKA Asbestos, we executed the project with utmost safety and efficiency, completing the works within a single day. This allowed for subsequent safety inspections to be promptly conducted. While the road closure and pedestrian diversions unavoidably impacted trading, neighboring clients expressed satisfaction witnessing progress toward ensuring the property's safety. We are pleased to report the business was open and trading again without too much inconvenience.
